Why use Artificial Bait?

Artificial bait has been the subject of many opinions and has anglers talking the pro's and con's of it. Obviously, artificial bait is more durable and there is much less waste. Therefore, there's less waste of money as well. It's easy to keep and reuseable.

But the debate continues on whether or not natural bait catches more fish than artificial bait. Up until quite recently, it was unheard of to consider artificial bait as being as good as or better than natural bait. However, times are changing. Artificial bait looks as realistic as natural, and in some cases is superior to natural bait in murky water, or at night.

In some cases, anglers are simply tired of carrying around heavy coolers full of various live baits and try artificial simply for the convenience of it. But what really works, in order to decide the pro's and con's, is to put it to the test against natural.
